“We are not only selling a product, we want to build up a long term business partnership”, Hakan Ozekmekçi

Could you please tell us your job function and explain what you do on a daily basis, to support Sil-All?                                                                                                                                

I am the country manager in Turkey for business development and sales support for Sil-All. I give field support to farmers on how to optimize the performance of their livestock through creating quality silage. On a daily basis, I make on-farm visits to show producers the positive effects of using a silage inoculant.

What’s your favorite part of the job?                        

The best part of my job is seeing a happy farmer with quality silage.

Why did you decide to work in the agri industry?

I was born in the Dairy Farm. My dad was running the Butcher shop. I have had a love of agriculture since my childhood. It is exciting for me to see the farmers successfully move their operations forward.

What are your main challenges when you talk about silage inoculants?

Farmers were worried that the inoculant would disturb the natural structure of the silage and would not have a positive effect. There are also technological deficiencies in silage disposal of inoculant. Farmers now see the obvious positive effect and they also recommend it to other farmers with proper silage construction rules.

Why are Sil-All products the most valuable offer for your customers?

Farmers have seen that using Sil-All inoculants reduces their silage losses and milk production costs. Sil-All products increased the value of their silage. Silage inoculation has become very valuable for the farmer.

Anything else you would like to add?

Silage inoculation is a part of quality silage production. We do not want the Turkish farmers to see us as a company, which sells only one product, we want to maintain a long-term business partnership. Our farmers can call us 24/7 for silage consultancy.
