“I have been using the Sil-All range products for more than ten years now, and I am extremely pleased with the results.
Two years ago I decided to try the new product Sil-All Hay because I had problems with the quality of the alfalfa hay.
It often rains during the Spring time in Bulgaria, the ground is very damp, so it takes a long time to dry the alfalfa. Even if there are a few days without rain, it is still very hard to manage the big quantities as we are harvesting more than 600 ha of alfalfa.
We are preparing alfalfa haylage from the first cut with the help of Sil-All 4×4+ for ten years now, while we are harvesting hay from the second and third cuts. Many of the bales cannot dry properly, as a result we have problems with the quality of the forage: there has been a visible mold development that immensely decreases the nutritional value of the alfalfa, lowers the appetite of the animals, and increases the level of mycotoxins.
Two years ago, we decided to try Sil-All Hay, but my workers were reluctant to apply the product because its preparation meant extra time and effort.
To test the effect, I personally marked a few bales that were already treated with Sil-All Hay. During the winter, I opened them, and we were all convinced that the alfalfa is in a much better condition. Since then, I have instructed the workers to always apply this product to the second and third cuts even though it costs them extra time. We are gaining much more by preparing high-quality hay.
We use the same product – Sil-All Hay for sealing the silage/haylage pits. This way, we have zero spoilage, we feed out everything, and we reduce the level of mycotoxin contamination.”
